Gambino Restaurant & Rooftop - Elevated Dining & Vibrant Rooftop Experience in Glen Waverley

I went here for a birthday dinner and it was lovely. The oysters and calamari were great, we had the risotto and some pasta with beef which was just okay. We also had some cocktails which were just okay as well. The cake we had for dessert was really tasty and they were kind enough to add a sparkler for us. It was enjoyable and I will be back.

From the moment we sat down, everything at Gambino felt next level. The service was absolutely impeccable — attentive without being intrusive, with staff who knew the menu inside-out and made every recommendation feel tailored. The vibe inside was warm and sophisticated, the perfect mix of energy and elegance. The ambience strikes that sweet spot where you can relax into conversation while still feeling part of something vibrant and special. The food was a true standout: beautifully plated dishes that taste even better than they look, a perfectly cooked steak dripping with flavour, indulgent carpaccio, and sides so good you’ll find yourself closing your eyes after every bite. Cocktails and wine were flawless — fresh, smooth, and paired seamlessly with the food. After dinner, heading upstairs to the rooftop bar was the cherry on top. The DJ was spinning all the right RnB tracks, and the space had that effortless blend of luxe and fun that makes you never want to leave. Gambino delivers on every level: food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. A must-visit.

Exceeded expectations and well worth a visit, love the vibe, making for a pleasant dining experience. The food we tried was tasty and satisfying, and the prices felt fair and reasonable. A very solid choice overall—will likely return.

Roof top atmosphere is lovely, good vibe with DJ. Good service. Good cocktails/sprits. Food tasty, however a littly dry. Service young lady was lovely.

We had a very enjoyable evening at Gambino restaurant. I had been aware that there was a rooftop experience in Glen Waverly, but didn’t realize that there was a separate restaurant on level five the ambience and fit out is exceptional. The food overall is of a very, very high standard and my steak was absolutely delicious and was served with a large tortellini full of a beautiful gravy. I was a little bit disappointed with my entrée. Two tiny little shark base scallops for $28 left me feeling a little bit blue but the wine list and quality of recommendations made up for it. It might be worth serving them on some sort of salad to justify the cost.

In a marvellous suburb for Asian Ishita food sometimes you want Italian. This is a great choice. Very good food, exemplary service and delightful ambience. This was a repeat visit. BTW this is pretty upmarket from nonna home cooking

Had an amazing meal at Gambino. Every dish was delicious, but they did fail to light up the bombe Alaska at first. Big shoutout to our waitress—super helpful and friendly, the service was top notch! Unfortunately, the vibe was a bit off due to the managers on duty, who weren’t as warm. Still, overall a great experience.

A bra our waitress looked after us perfectly and the other staff were also extremely attentive and personable! We chose the feed me menu which was an im pec ile range of dishes that complimented each other and our tastes. The staff really paid attention to our needs and we had a fabulous evening, the food was delicious!
